Nestled in the heart of the Australian bush, Goomeri Caravan and Bush Camp welcomed me with open arms last weekend as I embarked on a scenic drive with my Facebook group, seeking tranquility and a genuine connection with nature. As you step onto the grounds, the first thing that strikes you is the warm welcome from the friendly staff, setting the tone for a retreat that goes beyond the ordinary and exceeding our expectations. This pet-friendly oasis boasts not only spacious and secluded campsites but also a symphony of natural delights, including a trickling stream and the vibrant presence of birds, goannas, and kangaroos. Goomeri Caravan and Bush Camp is not just a campground; it's an immersive experience in the lap of Australia's untamed beauty.

For solo travellers, the campsite is economically sound and safe.

The camp's dedication to hospitality shone through its clean and excellent amenities—comfortable toilets, refreshing showers, and a convenient laundry, ensuring our stay was as comfortable as it was immersive. As the sun sets, the magic of Goomeri Caravan and Bush Camp unfolds with damper nights and campfires (when allowed), creating a warm and communal atmosphere that brings friendly groups together. The unique camp kitchen, surrounded by vegetable gardens, adds a touch of rustic charm to your culinary endeavors, providing a space where campers can share stories and experiences over a delicious meal.
For those in my Facebook group seeking a splash of adventure, Goomeri had it covered. If not for a drough, normally a dam awaits, offering cooling water activities. There are numerous designated bush walks, I was told the sunset at the top of the hill is stunningly beautiful. The off-leash fenced dog play area allowed our four-legged friends to frolic freely, adding an extra layer of joy to our stay as many of us travel with dogs. Many gatherings of friendship came to life as the sun dipped below the horizon.
Goomeri Caravan and Bush Camp became more than just a campground for me; it became a personal haven that beckons to those yearning for an escape into nature's embrace. Conveniently located for travelers from Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, and with its friendly staff, pet-friendly policies, and a myriad of natural wonders, this haven stood as a testament to the beauty of simplicity and the joy of connection. Whether I found solace in the quiet rustle of leaves, the sight of kangaroos hopping by, or the camaraderie around a campfire, Goomeri Caravan & Bush Camp offered an experience that transcended the ordinary.

Would I stay there again? YES! I most certainly will.

Campsite fee covers 2 people: $20 ($12 for solo travellers)
Additional persons requested to occupy the site: $12 per adult, $7 per child (5-17 years), and children 4 years and under are free
All sites are unpowered
Small camping generators are welcome from 8 am to 6 pm
Pets are to be kept leashed at all times.
No pets allowed in the camp kitchen or facilities.
